Bid Too Low: Am I doing something wrong?

Hi there,

I need an answer rather fast because the auction runs out tonight.

I placed my very first snipe, currently the auction is a 226 EUROs, my max BID is 400 EUROs. I have not bid on the item at all, I simply want to snipe it 5 seconds before the end of the auction.

In the status it says "Bid Too Low" though - eventhough my max bid is 400. Will AS still snipe it 5 Seconds before?

EDIT/UPDATEDuhh, now it says Ready?! I take it that AS takes a few minutes to check and get the sniping thingy ready. I didn't know that. Lets see if this really works hehe - after all its an item for a friend of mine so no harm done if I don't get it hihi

A couple of things.. above, left on your My Snipes page, remember to click update item info. It keeps the bid price curent for you. As does not show it current all the time.
This is Sunday night. Might consider adding a little lead time to that snipe. Very busy traffic on Sunday, usually.

AS updates item info from time to time, but DOES NOT automatically update when you load your My Snipes page.

On the first line of the grey shaded area, click on the words 'Update items info'. This updates and displays the current price ect...

I can't believe it! It worked

I got the super nice antique oven for 401 EUROs ( I changed my max bid to 450 to make sure I get one this time ) and it worked!

One remark about last second bidding

Eventhough the auction was supposed to end at 8 p.m. my bid was placed at 7:59:38 - how come there is this time difference? It was supposed to be 8 seconds so it should have bid at 7:59:52
