Bid Groups being cancelled?

I had a bid group with 3 items last evening get cancelled for no reason. Each item shows 'cancelled'. I thought it might have been my kid , so I redid them all.

This morning, as the first auction was about to close, I noticed all the items in the bid group were cancelled again. This happened within the last minute or so. I placed a bid manually (and won), bid but have no record that auctionsniper ever placed any bid.

I have another sniper set, not in a group and it's been fine since yesterday.

Maybe this is my error after all. Can bid groups be re-used?

I used this same bid group a month ago and won something. If I add new things to it, will that month-old win cause everything to be cancelled?

YES. It is possible to re-use a bid group by bumping up the quantity you want to win, but that can get confusing. Best to delete a bidgroup once you're done with it and create a new one each time.

Yep, it's best to just create a new one. But you could increase the number of desired wins. However that's a bad idea I think. If you later move wins out of there or delete them you may end up winning more of the new item you're bidding on than you desire. All in all too much risk there when it's so easy to make a new one.

Sara - it's been asked before but that never stops me...

Why can't AS inform users that they are adding to a bid group that has already 'fired' thus preventing this confusion? They could then choose to delete and start again or reactivate the group confident that it will work...
