Although, the method of first deleting (trashing) a record (data) and then creating a new record, instead of just updating the existing record, can be traced back to the 50’s by IBM’s use of punch cards, and according to Wikipedia, back further to the 90’s by Herman Hollerith, AND as early as the 20’s by some French guys to run textile looms. SO, R2, you could have said, “Deleting a bid group uses a design that dates back to 1725!” (exclamation point added for effect)

I sense a cliché to follow.
Did I predict it, or did I predict it?

But, to answer the question, it’s true - I’m very bored (aka “no life”). Why else would I exchange posts with R2? Say, R2, how about you and I do laundry together? For excitement we could mixed the lights with the darks – I never get tired of doing that. This Friday night work for you? Your laundry mat or mine?
Rick,

You dared me to respond without a cliché and then jumped on my reply claiming it was a cliché which, I assume, you would have done whatever I said!
Further to the laundry challenge, I am fortunate to have my own home complete with various modern devices including a plumbed-in, front-loading, automatic washing machine. As to mixing colours and whites, I have a lot better things to do than predict the outcome of red sock vs white shirt whilst considering the additional factors of garment age and composition.
However, I cannot wait until the day when I can sit there and muse over my little jibes at fellow AS board members and how much better I felt once the Sent button was pressed. Maybe I'll reflect on the praise received from other forum members who deemed me so amusing that they sent me electronics slaps-on-the-back. Or maybe I won't...

R2
I hadn't imagined you both as being so handsome!

No I mustn't be rude - its be polite time to two brave souls who have kept AS support untroubled in their fireside chairs for more years than I can remember.

Confession

I do miss the "slanging" matches.

The plotting

The PMs

The Pylon enthusiast's forum is just not that exciting.
