bid groups

i am new to auction sniper, but found it pretty easy to figure out. i made a couple of bid groups, they each included an item i wanted, that was sold by different people, with the auction ending at different times.

i set the bid group cancelation event to 1. so after a successful snipe, all other bids would be cancelled.

i went out today, and left auction sniper to do the work, but when i came home, i found i had won the same item twice.

this is obviously not the outcome i was after. i only wanted auction sniper to bid in the last seconds up to my threshold, and if the item was missed, it would bid on the next available auction.

i am disappointed.

now what to do about my 2 items? at least they are from the same seller.

Unfortunately you didnt check the "Bid group" check box when creating that folder. So you got just a normal folder. With just normal folders we bid on every item in them.

You can verify this by clicking the "Manage" folder button and then looking at your list of folders on the right. You'll notice they all say "Bid group" except the one you won 2 items in.

Most sellers I think would be understanding. Contact them quickly and hopefully they can do a second chance offer to the other bidders in that 2nd auction if there were any.

you are right. thank you. i have corrected it, and hope it works now.

about the auction, i contacte the seller and they told me i would have to cover their ebay expense... its not so bad though, i have already found a friend who will take one item off my hands.
