Always use a new bid group and all should be fine - once you win it stops bidding!

Can you explain any issues for snipes in bid groups with 1 desired item that close within 30 seconds of each other?

I'm sure the link Rick provided worked at the time his message was posted, but our FAQ which covers the use of Bid Groups have since moved and is now located at: https://www.auctionsniper.com/...r-basics/bid-groups/

The primary reason we recommend making sure there are at least 30 seconds between the ending time of each auction in a bid group is because it can often take up to 30 seconds from when an auction ends for our system to confirm whether the snipe won or lost and update the status appropriately.

If we have not been able to successfully confirm whether the last item in a bid group was a win or loss when the next auction in the group is coming to a close, our system will *not* bid on the next item to avoid the possibility of securing more than the desired number of items - so you would basically miss out on the opportunity to win that particular auction.

So, I gather from this reply that there is no monetary downside to putting two consecutively closing items into a bid group. The worst that can happen if I lose the 1st, the 2nd will not bid. I won't ever end up with 2 when 1 is all I need. (A subtle negative is that if the 2nd item is not being bid on by others, I should choose it only.)
