Bid Groups

Hi Russ,

If AS doesn’t have enough time to determine if you won, or lost, the first auction, it won’t bid/snipe on the next auction to avoid your winning more than the number of "wins" you specified for the bid group.

Just thought of something. If you have several auctions that are all ending 3 seconds apart, since AS won’t have enough time to determine if you won a previous auction, each auction might prevent the next auction from firing a snipe, causing a cascading non-snipe. Should you not win the first auction, AS might end up chasing it’s own tail, unable to determine if you already won, therefore not sniping any of the other auctions.

I don’t know for sure if this is a potential problem, and if no one else provides any info, you might want to file a support request an get some official response:

If it turns out that this is a problem, I guess putting less auctions in the bid group, thereby leaving longer gaps between auctions, would be a possible work around.
