Just before Christmas I created a new bidgroup folder for "MINI FRIDGES" in an attempr to win one for my Granddaughter's new SUV. I placed 2 or 3 items in the folder with a maximum of 1 win. All items were the exact same item, but on 3 different auctions, with 3 different numbers, but from the same seller. I had entered a maximum bid amount of approximately $50.00. The first auction ended and the winning bidder won the item at $19.00! I was shocked! When I checked AS's explanation, it said that it did not place the bid because it did not know whether or not the first bid had been placed??? This WAS the first bid and I should have won it easily. I did win the second auction, but at maximum price! A costly (for me) mistake on AS's part. What happened and what can I do ro prevent this from happening in the future?

Hi SHOP-N-COP,

Bid groups with auctions closing at the same time can be a little tough on AS. AS doesn’t want you to win multiple auctions, so it has to check to insure that you didn’t already win one of the auctions in the bid group, which can take time. Also, with 3 auctions closing at the same time, not sure *which* one would be the “first” (Lowest auction #? FIFO?). Unless someone else has something better, you might want to file a support request and get something more definitive from AS:
