Why you used bidgroups for 1 item? Bidgroups is for 2 or more items. Did you read the help section where explain how it works? It is in this way, for example you put 5 items in one bidgroup folder and you want to win at least 3 items. AS will execute the snips until you win 3 items or auntions end. If you win the 3 items in the first 3 snipe that AS did, then the other snipe in the group are cancelled.
I ran into the exact same problem today. Four items all in the same bidgroup were not bid on, the status of all of them still says "Ready" even though they have ended, all well below my maximum bid values. I'm going to have to cancel the next bid in the bid group and bid by hand because I can't expect the problem to be fixed in the next hour...
I just watched one of my snipes end. I have a "4 seconds before end" bid time. The seconds were counting down and just as the (my) winning bid should have executed the auction was listed as "ended". It seems as though the AS clock is not synced with eBay's. I know a quick fix is to give more lead time on the snipe. This was not with a bid group, but just a regular snipe. Has anyone else had this problem?
The addition of the countdown on the My Snipes page was a serious mistake, added by AS without realising the implications - ie. people think it's realtime. It's not! It's a Javascript clock that runs on the user's PC and is a reflection of the time on the host PC and NOTHING whatsoever to do with the time that snipes are placed. The sooner AS removes it (or replaces it with a realtime countdown) the better! BILL - please respond!

Never mind the timer issues. I have been using AS for several years. Today, for the first time, it failed me and I am rather unhappy. As a pay service, you would think they would get it right.

The first of my three items in a bid group did not execute becuase of being outbid. That OK, after all it was the first one. But the second and third items are just showing "ready" even though the auctions are long over, and ended for way less than I was willing to pay.

I filled out a support doc. Hope this doesn't continue. Wonder if ebay is fighting back at the sniper community?

Anyone know of a more reliable site to use?

Thanks
Everyone is dancing around the "lead time" and "sync time" while still ignoring the original question. WHYis a snipe sitting there with the auction ended and a status of READY which according to AS means "Your snipe is waiting to be placed" even after the auction has ended. In my particular case (can't speak for others) when I checked the "view conformation" it shows a page that states "comformation is not available" which tells me that the bid was NEVERplaced. It wasn't placed late... it would have shown a page that stated so from EB...

So again, we are stuck with the question of why the snipe didn't take place.

(my frustration with this topic stems from support dancing around the same thing... addressing lead time and server load et. al. and not why it didn't fire.) Mad
If you didn’t reuse a bid group (snipachica didn't reuse a bid group), then probably best, and fastest, to file a support case: http://support.auctionsniper.com/

No one from support has posted to this topic. AS staff will have “AuctionSniper” in their title.
Here! Here! JTomlinson. I appreciate the explaination of the timer, but that doesn't resolve the issue of the *winning* bids not being executed by AS. My losing bids behaved just fine with only the 4 second lead. However, I did increase my lead time (to 60 sec) and AS executed a winning bid for me this morning.

And thanks for the advice on the support case. I didn't know about that.
We do not recognize your e-mail address (found in the support case above) in our user database (xxxx@xxx.xxxxx). File a new support case and include your username so we can investigate this issue(or file it using the e-mail address that you use with Auction Sniper).

Also.. if you try to bid on an item that has ended.. it will not accept the bid (in other words, we can not snipe auctions that have ended so placed late and never placed are essentially the same). But as I mentioned, we can not help you if you do not tell us who you are.

Bill
