Bid Group: bidding on alternatives that end a few seconds apart

Situation: Several items in a bid group end seconds apart.
How close together can the auction-ending times be for AS to intelligently handle my Snipes?

What happens?
If:
My Snipe lead is set for the default 5 sec.

Auction items in the bid group end at:
:04 seconds
:08 seconds
:12
:16

What stategies do you recommend?

use 1 second lead times. But even that may not be enough. We may end up only being able to bid on 2 or 3 out of the 4. Rather than all 4. But with the items so close use 1 second lead times otherwise it will only bid on the 1st and maybe 4th. With a 1 second lead time it may be able to do the 2nd and 3rd.

Allan, just want to add something that nobody said. AS WILL NOT snipe if it can't determine whether you won as many as you want or not. In other words, it will pass on bidding for you rather than risking winning 2 when you only wanted 1.
