Bid going in quite a bit too early??

On this eBay item: 5964127220 I put in a snipe with a 6 sec lead. The eBay history shows it as having been put in at 19:59:28, with a 20:00:00 end time (this was Mar 27). That's a 32 sec lead. I'd post a screen snap, but I don't see any obvious way to do it in this forum (anyone can go look at the item history on eBay). I did confirm the lead time I entered just now. That seems like a fairly large synch error, well past the range where I could have just posted my snipe manually.

If I were the company behind AS I'd at least post some feedback after the snipe, to the sniper's account, in the snipe transaction results - like examples of the heuristics it used at the time to justify moving the bid time forward (e.g., "avg response time on eBay in last 20 mins before end time was 26.5 secs, lead time was increased by 22 secs to compensate"). That would give people who pay greater confidence that they received a valuable service, and at least reduce the number of these repetitive questions on this forum.
