You’ve made a mistake there, region2. “Sellers” don’t determine the price in an auction. They establish a starting bid (which is obviously obvious) but not “the price”. They can also do a reserve auction, but that doesn’t establish the price which can be higher. Now, they can do a BIN, but if they also allow bidding, then the BIN goes away and, yes, once again, they don’t establish the price. The only time they determine the price is a BIN only, but since that doesn’t allow bids, it can’t be sniped, so that also doesn’t apply.
