I'm a sometime seller and I'd say on a weekend, in the early evening PDT. Do not, repeat do NOT, end it on an even hour, half-hour, or quarter-hour (XX:00:00, XX:00:30, XX:15:00, or XX:45:00).

I like to end my auctions in the late evenings, maybe 8 or 9 Eastern. I prefer Sundays and Wednesdays. This is what I normally follow in the busy winter season when I have large serious auctions.

Truthfully, that's a good question.
I agree that the weekends seem to be the best.
It really all depends if you can draw a pissing match between two buyers on one item.
Without this, it doesn't seem to matter.
I, for over 1-1/2 years ended mine on Sunday evenings with good success.
I have my hits tracked daily now and have found that I get more on Mondays than any other day of the week.
Think of how many people get tied up with honey do's on Saturday and Sunday's.
My sales have increased about 20-30 percent.

I am a Sunday nite seller, although I have decided to try and Monday nite one and see what happens.
I usually end at between 8-9pm.

Peaks are Sunday-Thursday 6-8:30pm. But that's probably when most sellers list, so most buyers have to buy then, it may not be the best time for buyers, or buyers of the particular type of item being sold. Generally speaking any evening Sunday through Thursday is a good time. And anytime after about noon isnt too bad either.
