Yesterday, I had an auction all ready to go. When I checked on it to see if I had won, no bid had been placed. I checked the reason and it says "Banned By Seller". I emailed the seller to see why I was on his blocked bidder list and his reply was "I don't even know how to access the Blocked Bidder list" so it is apparent that I am not blocked on his auctions. Why would this have happened? Item # is 360226022503.

I checked out both of the links you sent me, and neither of them explain what happened. I have bought from this seller previously in the last year, so seller requirements should have already been established.
The second link about linking my eBay and PayPal accounts also should not be a problem. I have bought hundreds of items since April 2008, mostly through Auction Sniper and have never had this problem. There has to be another reason and I'm thinking it is something to do with Auction Sniper.

As AS bids as if it was you then the only thing that's different is the country where the bid originates - USA. If you're in the USA then it must be something else. Low or zero feedback maybe?

As it turns out, I was on the sellers blocked bidder list after all. I tried bidding on one of his auctions manually and that's when I found out I was blocked. He said he didn't know how I got there, I had to give him instructions on how to navigate to the list so he could remove it. Check with the seller to see if you are blocked.
It will at least (hopefully) give you specifics as to why the snipe wasn’t placed, which might narrow down what caused the snipe to be blocked. A “BEFORE” would be nice, but currently the only way to find out if you’re blocked is to place a bid, as you did. Perhaps that’s an option ebay should provide.
