Is there a way to create an icon with a direct link to the site, that can be left on my desktop?

If you mark the page into your favorites then you right click on the link in your favorites this gives you a menu- choose SEND TO then pick DESKTOP

I believe you can go to the My Snipes tab of our site, then just click and drag the little internet explorer icon in the address bar of internet explorer to your desktop then let up the mouse button. That should do the trick.
