I installed IE7 last week and also use Google toolbar (which blocks popups unless I hold down the Ctrl key) and eBay toolbar.

With IE7, when I want to snipe, I hold down Ctrl and click the Snipe button in my favorites bar (that's how I always did it under IE6) but I get an error message "Internet Explorer cannot download - unspecified error".

However, I found a workaround. If I first click Snipe without holding down Ctrl, I get the message "Popup blocked" that I expect. If I then hold down Ctrl and cl9ck Snipe again, it works!

But I shouldn't have to do it that way. There is a bug here.

If I turn off just the IE7 popup blocker and leave the Google blocker on, I encounter the same bug. But if I turn off both popup blockers, the Snipe button works fine.

However, since I do want to use the Google popup blocker, I'll have to continue with the two-click approach described above.

FWIW, the only other bizarre problem I encountered with IE7 was that my scanner software (HP Director) didn't work anymore. I uninstalled and re-installed twice and that didn't help. The I got on the web and learned that this is due to a Javascript quirk in IE7. The workaround is simple and is at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswe...65003762547+28353475.
