I cannot seem to grasp how a company that claims to have the customer base that it does allows it's infastructure to completely collapse multiple times within a week. I came to Auction Sniper due to problems with another similar company. I, like most others, run a full or part time business using the service. I personally spend approximately 10-12 hours a week researching/searching auctions. I am sure many of you spend much more. I usually end up with 20-40 possible snipes a week. This isn't alot, but to me, they are quality bids for quality items. Many of my particular items, as many are other's, one of a kind items(or near it) and will rarely be seen again. When I log on to find the site down, for the 3rd time in a weeks period, I find it completely unacceptable. Hours and hours of time searching and researching- GONE within 5 seconds. It is very obvious to see what snipes I "WOULD" have won based on the outcomes. At the VERY least a quality company should offer free snipes to KEEP the customers they have been lucky to get. Most customers probably stumbled onto the site and could just as easily stumble on to another. Instead, it seems the moderaters have an "it's bound to happen" and "we already know" attitude. They could say "we are very, very sorry and to prove it we will offer free snipes to insure we KEEP your business". It's not simply what a company does, but how well they do it. I don't expect anyone from AS to actually read this, however, without due compensation for the items I WOULD have won, I will be "stumbling" on to another source for my snipes within a few days. I am sure I wil not be the only one with the neglegence Auction Sniper has shown thus far in handling the current situation.

File a support request, and ask for free snipes.

It can't hurt, and maybe you'll get some compensation... but then again, everyone here has to realize that AS can't provide REAL compensation in the form of the kind of $$ that people are losing due to lost business from snipes not being placed... AS only charges a tiny fraction of the cash value of their service, that's why folks use snipers, so they can't be expected to make full recompense for theoretical losses based on an item not being won...

I'm as hacked off as the next person about the repeated horrible outages, and have been with AS for at least five years, I think, and never recall anything this terrible!
Very much agreed. I am not noting the need for $$ compensation. This would be impossible and not at all reasonable. I am simply requesting that there should be considerable compensation for services. I will definately check into a support request once the sites features are up again. Thanks for this suggestion. I will surely post back the results when available. I think that, while not solving the issue of lost items, it would at least "cool the jets" on most of us to have a reasonable service compensation.
Well we wouldn't have our panties in a twist if they would at least have a better notification system. When I logged on yesterday several times, I didn't note anything unusual. Clients should NOT have to go to the community forums to see if the service is down or not. A simple message when logging onto one's account could warn us there might be a problem. And I don't understand when, after finally going to the forums, it was said that it was up and running when, in fact, it was not.
I had several snipes prepared on Auctionsniper and thought it wasn't working..so I sniped on snipeswipe.com under another ebay ID. Auctionsniper is down so it is impossible to get to the 'my snipes' page to delete snipes placed. I ended up outbidding myself on an auction because the auctionsniper bid DID get placed. I paid about 11.00 more than I needed to. My thoughts on this, to Auctionsniper, would be to cancel ALL snipes until you are up and running...or at least let us have access to our snipes page. Whatever. Things can't always be helped, I know...but when you mess with our money, kind of brings out the beast.
Starting to really SUCK THE BIG GREEN ONE! Came home tonight to find I lost 3 auctions due to bids not being placed. Well what do ya know AS is dead again. I'm wondering just who AS has contracted with for power and server space. I'd be hunting someone down with intentions of serving up some serious bodily harm if this was my business! Definitely a job for a case of jumbo Whoop-Ass!!
