Auction Tamer is a program that tracks buying and
selling and allows Auction Sniper to be used by
clicking on the "Snipe" icon. Saves all snipe bids within the Auction Tamer program.

AuctionTamer is an auction management software tool for auction buyers and sellers that works with eBay, Amazon, Yahoo and other sites. Free for buyers, free trial for sellers. ... AuctionTamer is a unique multi-site auction software program that combines both Buying and Selling features in one ... I think Auction Tamer is going to play a huge part in ...

Yama,

I would think you should contact the support folks for AuctionTamer, it is their software.

Are you sure it is not working? I spent about 30min at their site and all the dicussion about an AS interface said all it would do was complete the snipe info. All other activity required that you leave AT and go to the AS site to do what you needed to do.

Question: why use two or more snipe services?
If any of you responding would have clicked on
the website address I had included, you would
see that Auction Tamer is NOT a sniper program.
It is a program that keep track of both buying
and selling on Ebay and other auction sites.

Auction Tamer apparently has a working relationship with Auction Sniper. I just click
on the snipe icon and insert my snipe bid and
all information is saved in my Auction Tamer program.

Again, I do not have two Sniping programs, just
trying to find out why it no longer works. Have
been using it for several years.

1) Many of us, myself included, do NOT click on unfamiliar links, just because some new person here like yourself, posts it. This is especially true when the text of the message appears to be a solicitation. This is a virus-conscious age in which we live, where people are regularly reminded NOT to do what you ask. So, you can cease reprimanding folks here for not clicking on it and, BTW, you are not making a great first impression.

2) Somehow, I have a very difficult time believing that AS has "a working relationship" with the outfit you are promoting.

I predict that the original poster here will vanish into thin air, sales pitch and all. Roll Eyes
I suspect the 'working relationship' is much like the one AS has with eBay. eBay makes a change and then giggles while AS scrambles to get things working again. Wink

... by the way, they did wait till someone asked about it before saying what it was.

yamahavintagenos, if Tamer wants their program to work with AS, it will be up to them to fix it.

Fair point Puppy - I'm suspecting that Chatter is ever-so-slightly over-reacting again... Roll Eyes

Being completely out of control (and having an up-to-date Virus Checker and Fire Wall) I clicked on the link. I know, I'm so brave! Wink

If you click on their link "Click Here for a FREE bid sniper account that works with AuctionTamer" then it takes you to another sniping site so I guess they're not so closely linked afterall.

Now this is strange - they do say that it works with AS:-

Auction Sniper - New for version 5.4.5 and above

Auction Sniper is another web based sniping service that works with AuctionTamer. To place a bid simply highlight the eBay item in the AuctionTamer list you wish to snipe and enter the amount of your snipe into the My Bid column then press the Snipe button. AuctionTamer will then bring up the Auction Sniper place bid page and fill in the information for you. To read more about Auction Sniper please take a look at their home page at: http://atamer.auctionsniper.com

Important note: If you want to delete your Auction Sniper bid you will need to click on the down arrow next to the Snipe button and select AuctionSniper Status Page and then you can delete your bid off of their system. You will NOT delete it from Auction Sniper just by deleting it from AuctionTamer.

All seems a bit complicated...

And what's with the disguised link - "http://atamer.auctionsniper.com"? Confused

So was it an advert? You decide. Razz
