AS -

I've lost 7 auctions in the last week because AS simply didn't place my bid. I had a bid group set up with several snipes. I was using at least 15 second lead times on all of them, except for one where i used 10. In every case I had a bid amount greater than the final item price, and my bid was never reflected in the bidding history.

I received status emails for all of the snipes with the following message:

Status Summary: Ready
Your snipe did not win because of the reason above

(Click here to see eBay's response to your snipe)

Confirmation for this item is not available.

I reported a few of these to AS and got form letter emails in response, granting me 3 free snipes, and telling me that "it might have been your fault". At this rate i'll never get to use them.

What's the problem here? I was excited to discover your service but I'm thoroughly disappointed that it doesn't work. My lead times are THREE times your default setting. I'm abandoning AS until the problem is fixed.

Seems to be a recent problem with bid groups. They have always worked for me, but have not used one in the last few weeks.

There have been other complaints, but think there would be many more if they didn't work for anyone. Confused

Clicking on 'Manage Bid Groups' you will see your bid group folder with a couple of numbers. (0 of 1 for example). As long as the number on the left is less than the number on the right, you didn't do anything wrong.

That 'Confirmation not available' is the problem. AS will not bid on another item in a group till it has verified a loss. As a temp work around, create a new bid group and move auctions from the old one. You may want to leave the ended auctions in the old one for the programers to have a look at.

Luck to ya, and WELCOME to the forum.
