I have used AS for many years. I've bid on many vintage adult items successfully over this time. Every few months, there is a problem with AS "not being able to find the item" because of the "captcha" issue but it has eventually been resolved. This latest incarnation of this annoyance has gone on now for a couple months with seemingly no resolution. Is AS working to solve this as it have done successfully in the past?
Thanks for your time.

Hello,

Thanks for posting to the community forum. I'm sorry to hear that you have had trouble sniping certain items. A code change was released today addressing this particular issue.

Adult items trigger enhanced security precautions from eBay to verify age. From time to time, eBay makes changes on how these verification web pages are displayed. One of these pages was changed this week, and we had to modify code in order to parse this page correctly.

As always, we are challenged to keep up with any changes eBay makes, in order to keep Auction Sniper performing at its best. Your success in using Auction Sniper is our highest priority.

Thank you for your continued patience, loyalty and for being an Auction Sniper customer.

Agreed, Rick. With all due respect to the AS staff (I've sniped many unique and wonderful items over the years) something seems different. It seems as though we need to tell them now when the adult sniping is inoperative. Before they seem to have fixed it without being asked. Maybe they have had to reduce staff as so many other businesses have.

On a side note your cat is one of the greatest things I've seen on the internet in my nearly 12 years online.
Well, next to all the women, of course.
Hello Community,

Thank you for bringing the adult items issue to our attention. I am pleased to announce that a code change has been made and released. We have verified that the reported adult items can now have a snipe placed on them.

This break was due to an eBay change in the pages they display when attempting to access an adult item.

Thank you all for using Auction Sniper and your continued loyalty to our product.

Hello,

If you can provide item numbers either here in the forum or by filing a customer support case here, then we can get more specific information in order to diagnose any potential problems.

I can say in general that the process for logging in and viewing adult items is a much more delicate process due to eBay verifying your age.

Thanks for providing feedback on this issue, and any specific information that can help us resolve any outstanding issues for everyone.

We appreciate you being an Auction Sniper customer and look forward to continuing to provide you with excellent service.

Respectfully,

Steve
