Should there be anything I need to look out for on a Dutch Auction using AS? I've placed a minimum bid (the first bid in the auction) for an item the seller is listing two (2) items for sale.

I figured that since the first bidders are rewarded slightly for bidding early, should I still set my AS snipe at my maximum amount and wait for the end of the auction?

This is the first Dutch auction I've run into using AS.

If you are bidding on 1 item then bid your max.

If you are bidding on multiple quantity in the dutch auction remember that the rules are the same as on eBay. You would essentially be bidding vs yourself. i.e. If the seller has 5 quantity. And you bid for 5. With a max bid of $100 and the current price is $25 you would end up winning all 5 and paying $100. So be careful is all I'm saying.

Can you explain this a little further?

I've placed one bid on an item labeled "Dutch auction," and there are two items available. Can I leave this item in my AS bid group? I'm a little confused by your "be careful" advice.

Thanks!

Thanks Sara! I actually had to change my bid to both items that were up for auction. Another bidder at the last moment chnged from one to two items to muscle me out and AS sniped him at the end for both!! I love this place!!! Cool Cool Cool
