Just noticed in another topic Sara recommended a third party program for posting ebay auctions -- Mr. Poster by Auctiva. I looked over the demo & FAQs and it looks like a nice program.

I just thought I'd ask sellers on here: What experience do you have with auction posting software? Do you use a third party program or do you slog through eBay's listing screens?

Any input appreciated!

Lexie,

The one feature that Mr. Lister has that was attractive to me was the auction scheduling feature. Unlike the scheduling feature of eBay, apparently Mr.Lister allows the seller to list auctions on user defined times rather than quarter hours.

Does TL offer a similar feature? What things does TL do better than Mr.L?

Thanks for your input! Smile

Found in Turbo-Lister FAQs:

What eBay sites does Turbo Lister support?
Turbo Lister currently supports eBay Australia, and will eventually be compatible with all eBay sites. Check your local eBay website for more information about Turbo Lister.

How does Turbo Lister impact Mister Lister?
Turbo Lister will eventually replace Mister Lister. All users of Mister Lister will be required to switch to using the new product. Turbo Lister will do everything Mister Lister does, and more! To make the process of migrating to this new tool go as smoothly as possible for you, we are planning the following:
Mister Lister will remain available for at least 90 days after Turbo Lister is released (at least through the end of 2002). This will give you some time to learn the new tool while still having Mister Lister available.
Turbo Lister will offer the ability to import your Mister Lister item collections, so you won't have to re-enter information that you already have saved.
Turbo Lister will have a "one-page" edit view similar to the Mister Lister interface.
Turbo Lister will also allow you to enter and store default values for the SYI fields (Starting Price, Duration, etc...) in a Preferences window, and/or duplicate and edit items - each will provide a similar experience to using Mister Lister templates.

(Jabber, again) Seems that Mr.Lister will be fading out! No point in learning an obsolete program!

Mrs. M, I really like it because I can set it up days ahead of time. A couple of weeks ago I had seven auctions I planned to post on a Sunday evening. If I had to type each one that night they never would have been posted at the time I wanted. I saved them all on Village's site so all I had to do was copy & paste into ebay's listing page. I had them all posted within 5 - 10 mins. of each other. It worked out great. As I go thru my annual winter de-cluttering in my house, it looks like I'll be doing that again next week.
Coral - you dont use Turbo Lister?? You can set all your defaults in here and type everything up months prior if you want....no copy and paste....just hit the "upload items to ebay".

I type items up every day for the week and then on Sunday nite I just hit that button and away they go. All my auctions end within a minute of each other or you can schedule a start time.
