AS Sniped my own high bid at same bid$ and thinks it won the bid!

Apparently AS cannot tell when you snipe your own high bid and then it thinks it won the bid. I bid $17.99 on an item and had a higher $$ snipe waiting in case it was needed, it was not. However, AS sniped at $17.99 but my earlier bid of $17.99 would take precedence on eBay but AS thinks it won! Since I won based on the earlier bid, technically I don't think I should have to pay AS for the snipe. In this case it's not a big deal because it's only a quarter but could be a problem for high dollar bids. Any ideas/answers/etc?

You get charged if the bid is communicated to eBay and you win at that or a lower price. That's the deal and so you were correctly charged.
