Unbelieveable!!!! 10 items I was after, one in particular, all ending when I was at work, and Auction Sniper instead of placing the bids 3 seconds before the auctions ended, placed each one, 1 hour and 3 seconds before the end, and in each one I got outbid by people who just entered bids after AS did this and varying times.

I'm very annoyed with this, and keen to go elsewhere quite frankly.

If someone from support wants the details, I'm happy to provide them, but that of course wont helps with these lots I missed. This is my first post, but I've been using AS for years now, but that doesn't excuse a mass stuff up that happened!

Hi Bucks -

The problem you experienced was due to the change in Daylight Savings Time here in the states. We have seen a few cases of snipes in Australia failing right around the time change.

We isolated the issue and fixed it quickly but unfortunately it sounds like not quickly enough. I would like to offer you a free snipe. Please send me a private message with your Auction Sniper user name so I can get that taken care of.

We are very sorry for your inconvenience!

Thanks!
Cara
No guarantee of a win. And I agree that you'll almost certainly end up paying more, if you do win.

Sniping a "must have" item is risky. There's that small chance that the bid won't be placed, or (in this case) not placed at the right time. Therefore, for "must have" items, my opinion is that proxy bidding should be used rather than AS.

Is this Groundhog Day?

Pay my bi-annual visit to find R2 is answering complaints posted two years ago, Rick is posting identical replies in two threads and the same questions posted five years ago are still re-appearing!

Got a load of straightjackets cheap. Any takers?

On second thoughts, don't snipe them, you might win them too cheaply, just manually place the bid 0.0005 seconds before the auction ends - you know it make sense! (After all the last bidder always wins, doesn't he Rick?)

These “visits” are not synchronized to a calendar. They occur when Camera seeks some solace for the latest malady in his life through “sharing” it with some anonymous stranger(s) on a sniping forum.

It must be Rick’s (can’t be region2’s) charm that keeps bring Camera back, and back, and back . . .
