Hello-AS placed an early snipe for me- and yes I have seen the posts-too much stuff and a little confused-I have cancelled bid with Ebay that was placed by AS but now can't delete AS snipe that is on. Do I ignore it and place a new snipe worried because the old AS snipe can't be deleted -it says end time was this morning but I am only HIGH BIDDER not winner --YET--So am a little confused-should I place a new snipe because this one says it is ended and hope I don't end up bidding against my self or hope this old snipe goes through? Don't worry AS-I know enough about computers which isn't a lot that these things happen and you win so sweetly for me I will always use your service but don't want to be billed twice or to lose the item-Thank you

Hi Community,

Thanks for letting us know about the troubles you are facing. This is occurring because, once a bid has been placed in association with a given snipe, that snipe cannot be cancelled or modified. Therefore, if you need to increase your maximum bid for such an item, I recommend submitting your new maximum bid directly through the eBay website.

We certainly understand that this is a less than ideal situation to say the least, however, we have since modified our software to account for the formatting changes eBay made Monday afternoon, so you should not encounter similar problems with any new snipes that are entered.

Any additional questions or concerns? Please feel free to contact our customer support department through the “File a Support Request” link at the bottom of our help page: http://www.auctionsniper.com/help.aspx

Fully understand that Auction Sniper was likely as caught off guard by the Ebay recoding as were its users - one request though, should it happen again: for those of us who don't actively read/check the community boards et al, could Auction Sniper simply send out a heads-up e-mail to its users, notifying them of the problem as soon as possible after it happens and providing clear directions for how we can correct the issue (ie: cancelling unplaced snipes and then relisting them, in this case).

If this message had got out fairly quickly by e-mail, it would probably have saved a good amount of money now wasted by bidders on early or overexposed snipes that were placed while you worked at correcting this problem.

Just a request for some simple, straightforward communication, rather than putting the burden on AS users (some active board readers, some not) to second-guess what's going on. Thanks.
Have one more concern-AS mentions some new Ebay recoding that caused problem-Is this going to happen on regular basis from Ebay and will this happen when Ebay does some more changes early May-Did they recode to stop the snipe services-Just wonder if this will a regular concern. I assume AS will be better prepared though they were way helpful trying to get this resolved-Thank you AS for being up front about this-I am still a fan
