AS Over Previous Max Bid?

Alright, say there is this item currently at $305.52. Then say I set my sniper at $351. How do I know if the $351 is OVER the previous max bid? I know if you do it manually with ebay, it will tell you that you didn't bid over the max set by the previous person. Help is appreciated, it ends in 3 hours.

Ebay is only going to tell you if your bid is an increment higher than the highest bid (proxy) because you are calling it out. With a snipe, you have not placed it yet, so you do not know. Place your snipe at the highest you are willing to pay and don't worry about it. If it goes higher than that, the other person paid too much. Be patient, another one will come down the Ebay pike at the price you are willing to pay!

No it will not know. All it knows is to place your max bid at the last few seconds. That is why we all say to bid your very max on AS. Then if someone out bids you, you know they paid more than you were willing to spend. Do not try to nibble the price. Just decide the vary most you will spend, and put it in AS. Good luck.
