Hi folks - a newbie here.

I checked in on ebay today to find that one of the items I'm hoping to snipe had gone up above the max bid I'd set my snipe for.

When I went to AS the prices were out of date and I had to update them manually (clicking Update) before a warning notice appeared on screen.

I've got warning emails switched on but I didn't get one. And they're not going into Spam because I check all spam too for wrongly classified email.

How can I put this right?

PS Another (probably obvious) question: the max bid we set as a snipe doesn't have to include the P&P specified on eBay does it? I'm assuming not.
Attitudes are contagious - is yours worth catching? :-)

Outbid notices aren’t sent right away. At the beginning of auction, AS may check only once a day. Towards the end, sooner. When does the auction end?

Your assumption is correct.
This from the FAQs:
31. How come I’m outbid but my snipe doesn’t know it yet?

We check if you are outbid in certain waves. This is a HUGE bandwidth waster and costs us money, so we do it the most economical way we can:

If the item ends within 30 min, we may check 10 every min
If the item ends in an hour, we may check every 20 min
If the item ends in a day, we may check every 12 hours
If the item ends in 7 days, we may not check yet.
Please note that you can click on View Extended Info just above your snipes, and it will give you this information immediately, so you're only one click away from the info you want.
