I used to lose every important auction to a sniper until I searched with Google; something like "win auctions ebay" and found AS. Since then I haven't lost a single auction except one where I wasn't willing to beat the high bidder. I sometimes wonder if it's going to fail and if I should put a manual bid in just in case, but I always refrain from doing so and AS works every time. A few times I've gotten angry emails from the 2nd place bidder and I just play dumb and say "gosh, I barely got home in time to place that bid, whew!"
