AS Message re Deleting Old Snipes

I clicked on the AS "delete old snipes" link and anything older than "two months" and the response was "53 snipes have been successfully deleted." But the message keeps returning with 53 snipes to delete every several days. Is there a way to keep from getting this message? I have no need to view or keep old snipes and would just as soon they be automatically deleted. Is there a default or setting somewhere I could select?
