Today I used AS to snipe an item for me- so I thought. As did for the last item I won through AS, I imported the item from Ebay- set a maximum bid and left AS to place my bid for me.
I was very disappointed to come home this afternoon to find that the auction ended for $30 less than my maximum bid and the AS had not placed a bid at all. What happened? IS this a common problem with AS- I was very excited to find this program, but if I can't trust it, I will not continue to use it!

Hi I have also just joined and twice tried to snipe in both cases my bid was rejected on ebay

I set up the automatic "7" lead time and my snipe got rejected "Not in Time" even though bid was higher than the final price and set up days before the end date. Any suggestions of a better lead time?

My other rejection which can be rested at my own knowledge of e-bay and My snipes, but could be useful for other people.
My bid was greater than the final price but because of the increment difference of £10 changed when near the end date I had set up snipe of £381.01 the item sold for £373 - there seems to no where I could have found this information out on your web site - obviously on ebay it would show you the increment.

Are there any other tricks I need to know?

Having said all the above I think the idea of snipes is very good and you can set up folders for each subject and hopefully walk away from your machine

Thanks

Now I feel silly- Apparently I imported the item into my watched items- not my snipes!

Missing the auction was my own fault. I was in a bit of a hurry when I set up the snipe (or in this case watched item) and didn't realize that I had imported the ebay item to the wrong place.

I would like to suggest though, that as this is a new feature, perhaps the difference in watched items versus sniped items should be more clearly marked.

Hope others can learn from my mistake as I have, and I do plan to continue using AS-
I sure would have liked that jacket though . . .
Same thing happened to me. I had three snipes set up, same config that has worked in the past, and all three failed (and the items sold for less that I set). It appears that AS has stopped working altogether.

One was an item I don't expect to see on eBay again - I am really really pissed off!

As that I just paid them $10.00 - does anyone know how I can get my money back?
