I love auction sniper, but I've had a couple of problems lately. I hope somebody can help me with this.

I had an auction today where my snipe was not placeed. This is the less than useful messsage I got from AS:

Auction Sniper Snipe Status Report
eBay Item:
Lot of 4 cloth diapers SOS Crickett's Hemp
(Item # 2316902253)
Status Summary:
Ready
Your snipe could not be placed because of the reason above
Click here to see eBay's response to your snipe

I click the link to see eBay's response and it just takes me to the page for the item. I think that my snipe max was above the ending bid on the auction, so what gives? I can't even find a way to navigate AS to find out what my max bid was? ARGHTGHGH! I can look at my calendar and see that I was set to snipe the auction.

Can anyone tell me WTF happened here? This isn't the first time that I have lost an auction for a bizarre unexplainable reason. Do I need to find a sniping program that is more robust?

Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer,

Sharon

Hi,

I'm sorry, but there just isnt anything we can do. eBay just wasnt accepting bids at that time. We bid from 3 locations throughout California, all with different backbone connections to eBay. The odds of all 3 failing at the same time just isnt going to happen. It only takes a small problem for a few seconds on their end to cause something like this. The confirmation link is what you need to click to see eBays reply. In this instance it is blank because we received no reply from them.

Your lead time was adequate and everything. I dont think a bid would have got there any which way you would have tried to place it. I'm pretty certain that we have the best sniping system with the highest reliability out there.

As for being able to find your snipe. It's easy. The day of the snipe just click the "Ending today" in the "Show" drop down box. Couldnt be simpler.
