Oh, so this is an advertising service, not a 'community forum.' Sorry. I had a 'problem,' that other members of the 'community' clearly also have. I thought I'd ask for help with that 'problem.' Since you don't provide this service anyway, I don't see the harm in using an alternate service to bid on Sotheby's auctions. Never mind, I'll go back in my hole. If anyone in the 'community' wants to discuss this offline, auto472452@hushmail.com
I disagree with both of you.

This is AuctionSniper.com's forums. It costs us several thousand a year to maintain, and even more in time for us to monitor. No one else does this.

Any site that sniped sotherbys would also snipe eBay. So my analogy is correct. If they also sell tacos along with burgers that doesnt turn them into a book store. It's a hamburger joint that also has tacos.
OK. You own the tricycle. You get to decide who plays with it.

But, I'm the customer, I get to decide who I give business to. As my grandfather used to say, 'All they have to sell is service.'
Frankly, If I were you, I wouldn't be so snippy to your customers, even ones who are snippy to you Smile.

Instead, how about letting us know why you can't do what appears to be a straightforward transaction for us. The Sotheby's numbers appear in the regular ebay auction search, so I don't understand why it's so hard. Let me guess, you think you should be charging a bigger commission on the kinds of things that Sotheby's usually sells? Fine. Go for it. I'll gladly pay a bigger commission.
I agree. I have no problem with the service. I just want it to do more and I don't want to have to find/use another service for _some_ auctions. I don't want to repeat what happened last night. I was sitting at my desk at work, after 5, when I normally leave, waiting to _manually snipe_ an auction that ended at 5:27. Of course a manager walks in and starts yapping about something irrelevant at about 5:17. What am I going to say, "Excuse me, I hate to interrupt you, but I have to bid on an ebay auction." I made it, just in the nick of time, after mumbling something about having to catch my bus, so the story ends well - this time Smile.
