Add to the fact that postage would be AUD$70 and its an electronic thingie and we use 240volt (I have been assured by the Company that I can buy an Adaptor).

And the item I am buying is from you yankee buggers

and I am guessing it must weigh oodles. I have just emailed the seller to get an actual weight so I can check the postage myself.

Although knowing that it cost me AUD$110 to post of Xmas pressies to hubbies relatives last year, it wouldnt surprise me if it was that expensive.

Thanks for the identification. You had me puzzled, there. Anyway, it's a good idea to get the actual weight so you can check on the shipping, but don't forget that a "handling" charge may also be involved. That's where some sellers nail you.

Is USPS the best option to post overseas?

Well, it's the least expensive. FedEx and UPS are faster but cost ten times as much. USPS is pretty reliable, too. It's all I use when I sell stuff.
