My apologies. I have just made my first (and successful) snipe but on reviewing the hidden automatic bids on ebay it seems to indicate that I have bid 3 increasing amounts, all with the same date/time stamp, while another bidder (with the same date but with different time stamp(s) has bid between my apparent bids. Is this some querk of the servers? Did it all happen in nanoseconds? Or am I missing something?

All the same bid amounts.

Multiple AS servers placing multlipe snipes for backup. Ebay isn't "suppose" to allow multiple bids for the same amount, but when they get in at the same time, that's what it looks like. Probably gets the other bidders wondering what the heck is going on.

Plus or minus.

Nope.
Thanks Rick. What I still am not quite getting is why it appears that I bid $69, $76 and finally $82 (all with the same time stamp), while another bidder upped me to $75 and then $81 before running out of time. This other bidder had increasing time stamps, while all of mine appear to be the same. Whether it helps or not, the other bidder seemed to be on another time: I was being shown as 16:03:12 AEST, while the other bidder was shown as 20:26:37 - 20:26:52 AEST. Why I would be shown as 16:..., when the time was really near to 8.30 PM AEST, I don't know. My main concern is that I thought there was one snipe. The ebay record suggests I did a multiple bid.
