P.S: I found this site for you http://www.zyworld.com/goldhelp
you can use it as payment instruction.
JD: The Only approved Escrow service by E-Bay is wwwescrow.com for items over $500.
You can read all about it under E-Bay Payment Instructions. Its worth the fee charged for the protection. If you use anyone but this approved service E-Bay is not going to help you. Buyer BeWare Always
But you should read the entire E-Bay Policy .

I would buy a MO if the Auction allows it. You should have some protection

MO = Money Order????

I would take some time and research this a little deeper. After looking at the sites listed in his e-mail to you.

1st..I would check this page out from e-gold >>Click Here<<

2nd...The guy has his own money order business Confused saying that it is registered with the BBB of Tampa >>Click Here<< to check it out. I would contact the Tampa BBB and get info.

Just sounds like a long trail to get someone seperated from their money.

I would think that if the guy really wanted his money he would take any money order or at the least a cashiers check.

Good luck

Seems fine to me, I've had an e-gold acct for 2 years, watch out though there are many scams connected with this site (but nothing to do with e-gold).

If you're used to paypal, the site feels very uncomfortable/iffy and it isn't the easiest method of getting your cash.

e-gold is where the HYIP'ers hang out (scam city)

Could the same thing happen with Paypal?

Any ideas?

Turns out this guy was a fraud.
He didn't respond to me when I suggested escrow (which I would pay for).
Then I get an e-mail from one of the other bidders saying he had received a 'second chance offer' from the guy. The other bidder wanted to know if I received my unit yet.
Reported the whole thing to Ebay and they cancelled the guys account.
Need to be carefull out there!
