Any advice for a newb for sniping on Cars?

I dont know anything about bidding on cars even though I sell them

I think if you just follow the basic rules of sniping you should be fine.

* Set a relevant lead time. I personally use the default 5 seconds but then I am from Australia and we dont seem to have too much of the Sunday Nite Blues. Also watch for auctions ending on the hour, half hour and quarter hour. The others have recommended an extra 15 seconds ON TOP of your usual then.

* Decide the absolute MAXIMUM you are willing to pay for the item you are interested in and bid that bid in Auction Sniper. You have to find the balance between the amount that makes you go "DOH! I would of paid that" and "ARGH!! I cant believe I paid that much - what a duffus". Then hopefully you will come up trumps and the only time you will lose is when someone else is willing to pay more.

* Auction Sniper will beat any other poxie sniping program out there - just remember *its not he who bids last but bids the highest* that wins the widget. It doesnt matter if you snipe in the last millisecond if a proxy bidder has a bit more tucked up his sleeve than you do.

Well the highet bidder will win, reguardless of how they snipe. So the #1 thing to remember is the high bid wins. Sniping is just an extra little tool.

The seller probably recommended us because we're the best. We have many feautres, are easy to use, are very reliable.

One time you can use is to enter your bid in a odd amount. Such as 5.03 rather than 5.00. Everyone bids in even dollars. So sometimes that extra 3 cents will sneak in the win for you.

In the case of a car I'd be 7503.53 instead of 7500 for instance.

Don't forget to look into bid groups if you see a couple that you like ending close together! That is, unless you want to buy a couple new cars

What does one write in folder name and folder description?


Lets say i am sniping on a Nissan and a Toyota. How would I set that up to win only one of those cars?

I have not done cars. But 1. look in the help tab for bid groups. 2. look in these forums for bid groups for the information.
I would just call your folder TRUCK.
be sure to click on the bid group when setting up the folder. Then under your My Snipes, just click on the square in front of the two trucks. then change the MY SNIPES to the TRUCK and then click on MOVE TO the two should change color to the one you set up. they should also then be labeled bid group.
Be sure the bid the max you are willing to pay, but sure would not bid more than the minimum blue book.
That's just my opinion.

Well, I guess you can have it sent enconomy (regular): You hitch-hike cross country and drive it home.
Slightly faster (Priority): You take the bus there and drive it home.
Fastest (Express): You fly there and drive it home.
Least time consuming on your part:
Hire a driver to go get it, or have a speciality car transport company bring it.

Shop, I have sold several vehicles of one sort or another on Ebay. I have yet to sell one to anyone in my state. I have had people come from as far away as 2000 miles to pick one up!! Hard to believe anyone would bid on something like a vehicle without seeing it first. I have often found, even when in a classified ad, what is great to one person might be junk to me!
