Maybe you need to add a few more "areas" to the forum. Maybe a General (non-Ebay related) chat section for all the ppl on here who like to chat.
That way, it makes it easier for them to communicate, instead of hijacking genuine threads with genuine questions/comments.
I like to have a quick read through, and see what problems ppl are facing with the site, or what suggestions they have.
...And occasionally, because I am new, I like to test my posts (...someone has already suggested a testing area), and make some small talk.
