Re: E-bay item # 5906133549

Jul-03-04 09:14:50 PDT US $24.99
Jul-03-04 06:38:33 PDT US $22.00
Jun-27-04 21:27:13 PDT US $20.00
Jun-30-04 21:23:07 PDT US $9.99

Take alook at this bidding!!
The winning bid "supposedly" was posted
a day earlier. However, it NEVER showed up AT ALL until there was 3 seconds left. My snipe bid was based on the bid of $22.00, w/ the next increment being .50 more. Evidently, this "other" prograM "locks" the time of your bid when you place it. I repeat, the winning bid & bidder did not show AT ALL until the end.

Ummm. I think you're mistaken. Forgot about Proxy bidding.
>Click Here< to learn about it. Below is the same auction.

The following table has been reorganized and sorted into date order. First
bid placed is line #1. That should make it easier to follow the auction.
Two additional columns have been calculated and added. They are the current
bid and high bidder, as displayed on eBay after each bid is placed. v2.1.08
* = Winning bid. (may be less than actual maximum entered.)

The winning bid was placed before yours the same way the bid in line 1 was placed before the bid in line 2. Wink

There are other sniper programs out there, but they can't 'Stop The Clock' or turn it backwards.
Please re-read my firstpost.
The winning bid & bidder DID NOT show up until 3-4 secs left. DO NOT re-organize it in any manner!! I was watching the auction IN PERSON. I got the "Highest bidder" alert for 4 secs. When I refreshed my screen, billterry5"s bid came up w/ a date of 7/2/04 on it, for THE FIRST TIME!!!.Prior to this, the winning bid was 22.00 by manderman. I repeat: billterry5's bid did NOT show until 4 sec left.
SO: There is another program out there that "locks", "timecodes", or whatever you want to call it, the snipe. Also, this is NOT the first occurrence of this!! (NO, I am not crazy!!) I watched this auction for the last 1& 1/2 hours.
There is no sniping service under eBays wing, and there is no way to place a bid and have the time be minutes off, let alone a full day.

If the winning bid had not been recorded on eBay, the current displayed price before your snipe would have been $20.50 (one increment above the first bid placed), and not the amount you mentioned.

... and I'll re-organize it if I want to. Big Grin
PPS: (Sorry about length)
Your scenerior shows only 2 people having a high bid at any time during the auction: myself & billterry5.
In actuallity, there were 3 people w/ high bids at some point: myself, manderman (whom I out-sniped) & got a High bidder alert w/ 4 secs. lft, then billterry5 w/ is "program". Manderman had the lead @ 20.50 till I sniped. After I sniped, the price was 22.50 till billterry5 came in w/ 4 secs left.
billterry currently has bids in on several auctions... wonder why he doesn't use his 'program' all the time.

Don't bother with the screen shot. We would just accuse you of doctoring the pic (very easy) and get all upset with each other.

I've heard that's OK, as long as one doesn't say:     Speak up! I can't hear you!
