Hiya,

Its been a while since I used Auction Sniper - I've tried to curb my eBay obsession. Smile I can never stay mad at eBay for long, and inevitably, I found something lovely that I desperately want. And because I want it, I read all the boards and tried to get up to date with what's been happening with Auction Sniper since I last used it. I was surprised to find so many posts complaining about snipes unexpectedly having lead times of 30 seconds or more when they'd actually used very small lead times. When I'd used this service before it was always extremely reliable. So, I wanted to test the system on an item that I didn't really care if I lost (just in case!) to make sure AS could be trusted to snipe for me.

What I wasn't expecting was a 15 min, 51 second lead time! Even on a bad day a manual sniper with my type of internet connection couldn't possibly take more than a minute. Okay, let's be generous and say a couple of minutes. So, I'm wondering if AS can be trusted to snipe for me at all anymore? Is this a common thing? Is there any way to stop this from happening?

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.

CJ

Item Number: 5233883203

PS I'm well aware that I would have been outbid on this item anyhow. I really couldn't care less about that - what I care about is the fact that a bid placed 15mins and 51 seconds before the end of an auction isn't a snipe. Just wanted to clarify.
~~~**~~~ Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you.
