Advice needed on Lead Time

An auction is scheduled to end on Oct-19-03 17:13:46 PDT.

It is possible that someone else will use some kind of an automated sniping service too

So what lead time should I use? Expert opinions welcomed

It is always possible that someone will use a sniping service also. Just remember to bid the MOST you want to pay for your item when you snipe. The advise we normally give bidders is 8 seconds during normal time, Sunday ,during the hour, half, quarter, add an additional 10-15 seconds. As watches these times and trys also to compensate for heavy traffic. I know that many successfully snipe in as little as 3 seconds at times. But, this is what I and some of the others follow. It is an auction and as such, nothing is guarenteed.
