Suggestion: In addition to showing the latest price (requires refreshing screen), I suggest AS adds a field to each listing on the 'My Snipes" page showing the lastest number of bids. This would be helpful in reviewing active snipes to more quickly determine the bidding activity on the item. I would think this would be very easy to add. Dale

Dale,

At first brush, that sounds like a good idea. But here's something to think about: snipers decide the maximum they are willing to bid. Once they decide that, that's what they use for a snipe amount. So, the number of bids, and the number of counters (I'm not being as smart-ass guys), has no impact to their max bid.

Why not also show the high bidder's ID? After all - it could be a competitor of yours. The reason is, I think, is because that kind of information only "inflames" bidders to bid more. Proxy bidders are notorious for their inability to decide what they are willing to pay. Since a sniper only has one shot, they spend time deciding what they think the value of the item is to them and not responding to what others think the value is.

I think that if AS added every bell and whistle people ask for it would take a 36" monitor to view the whole AS main snipe page. I keep two connections on my lower task bar at all times: Auction Sniper and eBay. I keep AS on the main snipe page with occasional sidebars into the Forum. I keep eBay on the "My eBay" page with occasional sidebars into the "Search" function. I can use either at any time to see how many bidders, current bid amount, etc. with only a few clicks of my mouse. Good heavens, people -- AS is sniper software, not the New York Times! Is it finally too much to twiddle your index finger to find out the latest poop on what you're interested in bidding on? Roll Eyes
