I too am having problems with the access. I have gone to my sniper page to update and I have gotten error messages for several days now and it comes back as Server Error site too busy or may be down. I have checked the ebay status board and nothing indcates there is a problem on eBay's end at least not this morning.

If anyone has any updates or insights I would appreciate it. I have an important auction coming up tomorrow, 11/25.
My advice to you for your important snipe tomorrow is to Manually Bid if it's that important to you. See if you can access AS anytime today, then cancel that snipe and manually bid. If the time of day that the Auction ends is a problem for you to manually bid, then it's best to leave your Snipe alone. The last time AS had this problem the Snipes seemed to go off without a hitch, even though all of us AS members couldn't access the site for hours.

We are all having problems today. Think it's the Sunday Problem rearing it's head again! Seemed like AS had it fixed and now it's back again. The "Sunday Overload" is my guess.

If you are still uneasy then file a support case now -- that is if you can access the HELP section. "Or" try this: http://support.auctionsniper.com

Good luck with your Auction. Smile
All snipes that get entered are sniping correctly, and there is nothing to worry about. In fact you are safer sniping that manually sniping or bidding right now because eBay may not be up at the time you want to bid! But their bid servers are and that is how we snipe.

eBay has been having severe problems over the past 2 evenings and their site has very slow or not functional. And that since we rely on eBay to be up to keep things updated ourselves our systems have been having trouble keeping up since eBay isn't up.

You may review eBays system status messages here:
http://www2.ebay.com/aw/announce.shtml

We are reworking our system so that even when eBay is down our site will still be accessible. However you probably got system busy errors today at the exact times eBay was down as is listed in their system announcement page which I linked too above. All snipes still fired, it's just the site that was busy because we were stuck trying to update bids and such when eBay was down so things got clogged.

While eBay is certainly having problems, why do I get server error messages when trying to modify a snipe amount on my AS page? Does AS have to go to eBay before it will let me change my bid amount?? (the original bid entered was higher than the current bid but I wanted to go even higher)

I realize that all servers/sites have problems from time to time. What bothers me most is eBay and PERHAPS AS tend to blame everyone but themselves.

AS, do YOU have a problem with your software or servers or are your problems ALL related to the problems eBay is having??

yes, all problems are related to eBay.

Yes, but I clearly provided a link right to eBays page where they list all of their downtimes. And if you had been using our site today you'll notice that we only have slowness when eBay isn't functioning properly.

Sniper Sara B. says "In fact you are safer sniping that manually sniping or bidding right now because eBay may not be up at the time you want to bid! But their bid servers are and that is how we snipe."

I had an AS snipe scheduled for 20:11:03 on 11/23 for eBay auction 1789340184 that ended at 20:11:08. I received the following message from AS: "Not In Time
Your snipe could not be placed because of the reason above"

AS is a "for-fee" service provider. It seems reasonable to me that AS's diagnostics would have identified the problem when it began on Friday, and that a warning to AS users suggesting longer lead times might be appropriate because of the problem.

AS does have "automatic" diagnostic routines that constantly monitor for and identify situations like this, doesn't it? And there are technical support staff that can post advisories, aren't there?

It doesn't make any difference WHO is at fault. I can write a routine that submits a bid at a predetermined time. What I can't do is monitor for problems like the intermittent "Server too busy" problem that started popping up on Friday. I expect a more comprehensive solution from a "for fee" service provider than "...we only have slowness when eBay isn't functioning properly." !!!
