I disagree. It's very much water IN the dam.
I thought it went under the bridge.

but I'll get something out later and tell you when it's posted.
No need now.... Unless you just want to.

Puppy & Mrs. M,
You each made a private comment. I would like to be extended the courtesy of responding. The only reason it looks like under-the-bridge or over-the-dam was because I saw your private topic.
Very well... Please do so.
Both of those are strange to me...must be a regional thing.
Notice that someone hasn't posted since 1/06?

Welcome, Wolfgang! I was wondering how you knew that you lost by only $5? Could the winning bid not have been much higher?
Lol, good question. I assume he meant his loosing bid was five dollars less than the ending auction bid that was displayed.

I assume chatter was discussing a bid increment? I assume Chatter was saying that Wolfgang had no way of knowing he lost by $5.
Having seen Chatter's posts over time, he doesn't ask frivolous questions or make frivolous posts.
I would also like to add, that Chatter is this forum's longest "current" contributor.
P.S.
Yes, I know..that is why I said good question. I was agreeing with Chatter, Rick!
The WHOLE GANG's here!?!

Hi Lexie!
Just so you can appreciate your summer, it's about 4 degrees F here in NE USA. I think that's about -15 C.
Did you hear about the guy on a small commuter jet today from NYC to Washington, DC that claimed he had a bomb and wanted to go to Australia?!? I don't think the small jet could have enough fuel to get accross the ocean! The jet was diverted to Dulles and the guy was arrested. From what I hear, he wasn't mentally "right".

I have a friend over in Canada at the moment and she said its been -15. I just LMAO and tell her how pleasant it is here at the moment. No 100+! I also have some friends on their honeymoon in NYC and they say its bloody cold there too.
2 weeks ago I was wishing for snow - now its perfect.

What state are you in, jabber? I'm in Michigan, and this transplanted Texan is freezing her boots off... It's actually gotten back up into double-digits this evening...
Hi Shirley!
Central PA is where I'm located. Yeah, I guess as a Texan, your blood is pretty THIN!
One of the good things about the cold weather is that it keeps people indoors. And if they're indoors, they may be more likely to do some eBay surfing! And if you are an eBay seller, that HAS to be good news, right?! Mrs.M & Sara posted a month or so ago that the weeks between Mid-Jan & April are some of the busiest eBay months.

I'm supposed to stay indoors? Oh, now I get it!
Actually, one of my friends cancelled a shopping trip today because she didn't want to carry her coat around the mall... I thought it was just about the LAMEST excuse I've ever heard, so I went without her. But then, she's pretty good at lame excuses -- I'm thinking of having a trophy made...
Hmm, maybe I can find one on ebay... (grin)
I actually buy more in the spring and summer than I do in the winter. Have to replace the plants that didn't survive their winter under lights...

Morning Mrs.M
Good Morning ALL.
I'm currently in the NE corner of Nebraska. Although I am a transplanted Desert Rat. The idea of all this water if fantastic...even if it is frozen. I'm indoors and snug as a bug in a rug. I just wish I was more computer smart. If there was a JC or CC locally here I would go, but the nearest one is 60 miles away. I would sell stuff on ebay if I knew how to take pix and get them into the computer. Oh well, you young kids sure do..
