Would it be possible for AS to validate all ebay passwords when they are entered? how would i know mine is correct in the system?

We've done this before.
When new users used to sign up, we would verify their passwords with eBay rather than having them enter it twice for confirmation. However, this only worked 99% of the time. That 1% of the time left new users annoyed and wondering why they couldn't sign up.
