A.S. INSURANCE FOR OVERSEAS BUYERS

Hello.
I reside in Australia and an avid user of eBay and Auction Sniper. I am a little unsure as to the insurance on eBay items secured through Auction Sniper. Is it correct to say that as an eBay user in Australia, I can win an auction from a U.S. Resident through Auction Sniper, opt in for A.S. insurance for the item's journey from the U.S. to Australia? In other words, is the item covered by insurance?

Quite often, U.S. sellers do not provide insurance which makes the deal a bit of a worry until it is received.

That is correct - I've used it a few times from USA to UK but nver made a claim...
