Hi, I love AS and I actually use it to buy a certain type of stuff on eBay and then turn around and re-eBay it at a decent profit. So this is a little OT but I hope you all don't mind. As I've started to sell the items that I win through AS, I've been wondering if there are typically better days of the week to have your auctions start/end (from a Seller's standpoint, i.e. high eBay activity time) and/or bettter times of certain days too. Been trying to pay attention and Sunday nights do seem busy, but thought I'd ask here and see if anyone here might be selling too, and have any actual stats or knowledge about this? It might be good to know too, as far as AS and buying, so we can NOT set up our snipes for the busy times on eBay but instead for the slower times which might garner less bids. Thanks for any help, ideas, info, etc!!!

Depends on who you are targetting.

For one of my ebay seller ID's I target Mum's of babies and older children, so typically, my children based goods that end during the day sell better as that is when my target buyers have some time. Not too many Mum's have time towards the end of the day with Dinner's and Bath Time etc.

Sunday's are great for alot of other items, as its usually the *at home* day, mainly in the afternoons/evenings ebay sees alot of action.

Here in Australia, Sunday evenings/nite isnt all that attractive to me, as the TV programs that are on then are very popular.

Another of my seller's accounts targets other business people, of course, they dont want to really be working Sunday....so I have those auctions end during business hours and mid week.

I guess for Mrs.M, her items arent plentiful on ebay and from what I know, the catergories are filled with 1000's of items for people to scroll through...so they arent hidden on page 18 etc.

Also, any buyer with a bit of a clue, would be able to see that there will be another one along very shortly.

So you see, there is no straight answer and there doesnt seem to be a *wrong* time to list on ebay.

I know as a buyer, I cant find the time where I can buy what I want cheaper than any other day of the week....I can always dream though. Smile

FWIW - this really isnt off topic at all. Anything goes in the ebay general area Cool
