It was ok -- good seafood, but it's always a bit depressing. A good friend of mine died a couple of months ago, and her husband is having a rough time getting his life back in order, so I make a point of having dinner with him once a week. Helping with taxes and paperwork and teaching him how to use the computer, stuff like that.

He's a nice guy, but kinda pathetic and definitely sheltered. She did all the personal-business stuff (finances, bills, credit, taxes, etc.) and he took care of the house and drove her around. Now suddenly he's got to do it all on his own, and he's kind of lost. That on TOP of the grief.

So the trick is to help him as much as I can, and get him on his feet WITHOUT letting him get too attached or dependant on me...
