I just joined and have read up a bunch and am still unclear about a few things.

1. If an item is at $30 and my maximum bid is $70 and other people bid up to $60 (and say there's a $2 ramp), then will I win the item for $62 or for $70?

2. How much does this service cost once you use up your free snipes?

3. I've read different things regarding lead times. Some people say that with a 5 second lead time, you have a 99% chance that the bid will go through. Some people seem to think you need at least ten seconds. Can someone with a lot of experience tell me what they would use as a lead time for a pro audio item that's exactly on the half hour with not too many bidders involved at 7:30 pm EST.

Thanks!

Hi Jerparise,
Thought since everybody else seems to be out and about I would give you some answers....

Answer: $62....That said - all of us recommend you use an odd ending amount ie, instead of $70 go for something like $72.67 - this may win you a couple more auctions.

Answer: Auction won that ended at $25.00 or less $0.25
Auction won that ended between $25.01 and $499.99 1% of final price
Auction won that ended at $500.00 or more $5.00

Answer: Oringinally posted by Sara (Sniper Goddess)7 seconds is plenty on a sunday unless they end between 5:30pm and 8:15pm. In that case I'd go with 8 or 9 seconds to be extra safe. Even 5 seconds would work 99% of the time, so the 8 or 9 seconds is just adding a small additional safety margin.

Hope that helps Smile

Hope we see more of you around the forums
