Been lurking in the forums for about a week, pretty impressed with the community, the advice, and the service.

Thought I'd give it a shot, what the heck right?
Put snipes on 3 items I was watching on eBay..just won my first one. No bidding wars running the price up, no watching the last minute count down, etc.. of course I missed the adrenaline rush that goes along with all that but it did keep my $$ in check Big Grin

Thanks for a great service, I'm sure I'll be continuing my use in the future.

Oh, I am sure you will, it's a good service. Not counting "buy it now" auctions, I have only placed one or two manual bids in the past three or four years. I sometimes will watch one of the auctions that I am sniping wind down. There still is the thrill of watching AS fire its torpedo and see the other bidders get blown out of the water. Anyway, welcome and happy sniping.
AS far as bidgroups I've been studying how they work..I"d like to get some boxed sets of Star Trek NG DVD's for hubby for xmas and those always seem to have bidding wars on them (especially the legitimate ones).

Remember, you can still lose if someone has a bid higher than your max...

That's what amazed me lurking in here for a week or so, was the number of people who were complaining that AS hadn't worked for them because they hadn't bid enough ??? It wouldn't make any difference if they had placed the proxy bid with eBay themselves in those cases and obviously if they were upset they didn't win then they didn't snipe at their max

Lost 2 of my 5 items I was trying to snipe in the past 3 days....I was ok with that ...they paid too much (IMHO).
