Is it just me or does AuctionSniper have a serious problem with 10 digit eBay item numbers?

I've been able to enter snipes just fine for those items that have 9 digit numbers and the system works great.

I've entered a support item for this but haven't received a reply yet.

Here's an item number for others to try.

1372564500

Let me know if you have the same result.

Steve,

That item number started to work for me too.

Try some of these other numbers and see if you get the same unhandled exception error I've been seeing.

1372566266
1373027934

Maybe it isn't the fact that it is a 10 digit number. Maybe it is that the item has a "buy it now" figure but doesn't have a bid yet. That's what appears to have changed with the first item number.

Uh.... Those aren't auctions.

Thus you can't snipe them. We will fix it to tell you they aren't auctions.

They are fixed price items. i.e. the only option you have is to buy it right then on the spot for the exact price listed. I have a feeling there are going to be more and more of these and less auctions, which I think is a shame. I love the fun and potention for a good deal that I get with auctions.

Thank you
Hi,

This problem has been resolved and the fix for it is already live.

The problem was that stored items (with fix prices) can't be snipe since they are not really auctions.

Well, now instead of the error you will get a message telling you why the snipe coudn't be added.
