What we need are the auction numbers, if you don't mind. Without them, it is a guess. Glad to see you in the forum. You are always !

Sounds like this was a reserve auction? If it was, are you familiar with how they work?
Also, on the other auction, lead time might be helpful.
Did you happen to place a proxy bid on the first auction?

That's what happens when you click on instead of .
The item for $25 had a reserve, which also just happened to be $25. That's the way eBay works. Had you bid $50 you still would have won for $25 since that was the reserve price and there were no other bidders that bid at least that much.
I checked and you werent charged on the $3 item you lost. We placed the snipe but received no reply from eBay. You did everything fine, and eBay just didnt accept that particular bid from any of the 4 places we sent in your snipe from. When this happens it usually means that eBay wasnt functioning at 100% when that auction ended. There isnt anything we can do on this end. The only possible way to maybe win there would be an earlier snipe time and hope then hope that at that time eBay is working, or manually bidding on it on eBay, but not sniping because the result would almost certainly have been the same. i.e. dont snipe. But that's not exactly a great solution because sniping is going to help you win more. It happens pretty infrequently. Less than 1% of the time, but is one of the risks of sniping.

Forgot to mention you can get some free snipes for the snipe that eBay didnt register. We give free snipes for any missed snipe, even when eBay is down. Like when the power went out at eBay and they were down for a few hours.

Hey, I get it now! I figured out that I must have bid the reserve on the 25.00 item - as far as losing my snipe on the other item I guess I should change my lead from 5 to 8 seconds -the free snipes make up for it lol. Thanks for enlightening me! Kris

That is why I now will not bid on a "Reserve Not Met." I feel that the seller should have the guts to show his reserve by the start bid price. NOT keep it hidden all the time.
